Dark Circles - Causes and Treatment options for Dark Circles


Dark circles are mainly found around the eyes and they are also known as "bags under the eyes". The bluish or purpleish color above or around the eyes makes the eyes appear dark/black. As the skin around the eye in very thin, it will darken earlier than the rest of the face.



The possible causes of dark circles :

• The deficiency of vitamin K in the diet, is the main factor of causing dark circles.
• Insufficient iron, which causes the anaemia, is also responsible for dark circles.
• Any abnormalities in the adrenal gland, can lead to the disorder of dark circles because adrenal glands are associated with the stress, which may cause dark circles.
• Insomnia is the main cause of dark circles.
• A family history of dark circles, increases the chances to get affected by dark circles.
• The dark circles are more common in the aged peoples because skin covering the eyelids thins out as old age.
• Allergies are often the blame for dark circles.
• Fatigue and lack of sleep, are the main causes of the dark circles.
• Smoking, increases the chances of dark circles.

Some Treatment options and  Tips for Preventing Dark Circles from occuring further :


The tips of preventing the dark circles are:

• Apply concealer to the darkened areas. If the circles under your eyes tend to be very purple, use concealer with a yellowish tone or 2 shades lighter than your skintone.
• Powder the area under your eyes with very fine translucent powder to set the corrective concealer.
• Grapeseed oil is an antioxidant that has been found effective for reducing eyestrain.
• Try to avoid the caffeine, because they promotes water retention and lead to the dryness of the eye.
• Apply cold cucumber slice over the closed eyelids. (freeze it for a good 30 mins for more soothing effect)
• Green tea bags will work too wet and freeze it just like the cucumber. Green tea has antioxidant that will help with dark circles.
• Eat a green leaf vegetables daily.

FOTD: wearing mac eyeshadows

how I did this eyemakeup:

lid primer used: UD primer potion

add staying power using mac paint pot in bare study

I used MAC e/s in shroom for my lid just below crease , hi-lite under browbone & inner corner of the eye

for my crease i used MAC e/s in satin taupe and a little more heavy on the outer corner.

line upper lash line & lower too (black or brown)but  I am using a black eyeliner(top)

lastly, curl your lashes and apply your favorite mascara.

Here I am using Lancome Hypnose drama mascara

and clinique's brown eyeliner to my waterline. Its daytime so I dont want to wear black eyeliner

in my waterline during the day or to work.

Here is the finish look:

lipstick from revlon in soft nude & Revlon coloburst lipgloss on top in Crystal lilac

little hint of NYX blush in peach.

And your done!

Hello Everydbody!

Welcome and i hope you enjoy this blog of mine:] I am not going to talk bout makeup today.I am going to show you my new favorite shoes. I know everybody know about this shoes already but have you tried it yet?

Oh em gee!!! better get your hands on this shoes coz they are the bomb!

I've had my old ones for 2 1/2 months now and I never felt good walking in this shoes. I always complain about my back after work or coming home from the mall. I work at the hospital and we are constantly walking. I have a back injury from a car accident 6 yrs ago and my chiropractor said that my back won't be the same again.Every now and then I get flare up and my back just kills me. When I saw this Shape-ups I was like, "those are some ugly shoes" lol. Everything change when I tried them at the store. It was a bit on the expensive side so I had to wait until they are on sale but then COSTCO sells it too. I planned to buy it when I get paid. But the next morning my older sister surprise me with one. Since then,  I love wearing them everywhere. I am hooked on shape-ups. can't leave the house without wearing one. If I use other shoes like Nike or Adidas shoes, I can totally feel a big difference wearing these shoes. Feet and back would be hurting. I would wear this shoes to work and running errands, I come home and never felt pain in my back at all. Awesome shoes I would say:]

 As supposed to toning and all, I can fit in my old pants again I wear size 4 American eagle pants before now I can wear my Size 2's again or even 0. Plus I watched what I eat. Feels like I am walking on the sand when I wear this shoes. I get a work out without being in a gym.  I feel good over all. This shoes is a must have for all. I totally recommend it!  This is my honest opinion on this shoes.

Macy's Haul(gift from my BF)

Hi Everybody!
 I just want to share what I got from Macys. I decided to spend my giftcard on a Vera Wang preppy princess. Oh em gee!!! I really love the bottle. I wanted to try the Lancome teint miracle for the longest time. I read a lot of good reviews and bad things from different site. But anyways I got it and I am excited to try it. By far the most expensive foundation that I got. Thanks to my BF.lol

I got match at the counter I wear NC35-40 at the MAC counter and  at the Lancome Macys counter i got matched Bisque 5C. Its like my perfect match when I saw it on the mirror. I am excited to see what it looks like outside.
Price tag: $37

I got a bag from Lancome and other products to try coz I spent $32.50 and over. I got Bi-facil makeup remover in decent size, A juicy tube in moulin rose, hypnose drama mascara, & cils booster xl(like a mascara primer) not in this picture: genifique sample and a antiwrinkle creme.

And lastly, Vera Wang Perfume $60

Vera Wang Preppy Princess is a luscious, woody and fruity fragrance that blends scents of berry, honeysuckle, and woods for an ecclectic, edgy fragrance.I think I am liking this perfume.
